Apeiron at The Jockey Club in Miami, Florida is a 22-acre waterfront property with expansive views of Biscayne Bay and the ocean that includes a 38-slip mega-yacht deep-water marina. The initial phase of the Flagship will include a 45-story tower with 120 serviced residences that range from 2,500 SF to over 4,500 SF and a 90-room boutique hotel. Integrated into a robust 5-acre state-of-the-art health and wellness facility, the Flagship will include tennis courts, outdoor pools, and recreational facilities.
Apeiron is being designed by world-renowned architect Rafael Moneo of Spain, winner of architecture’s highest honor, the prestigious Pritzker Prize. Mr. Moneo is one of the world’s foremost contemporary architects with a body of work that spans more than fifty years and an extensive portfolio including high-rises, museums, university buildings and other prominent structures, including a new wing of Madrid’s famed Prado Museum.
About the Design. Carefully located between the existing ensemble of towers that provide the backdrop for the celebrated Jockey Club, the new Apeiron tower looks across Biscayne Bay at some of the most sought after views in Miami. Apeiron stands at the foot of the marina, connecting to the boardwalk, tennis and parking platform as well as the terraces of the wellness center, providing a powerful and dramatic centerpiece set to rejuvenate the grounds of the Jockey Club.
With a staggered silhouette, the new tower fits discreetly among the earlier towers from the ´60’s and ´70’s serenely asserting a clean, contemporary aesthetic. Capturing views to the northeast and southeast across the Bay, each individual home is organized along this emphatic orientation, providing the façade with a strong texture of vertical surfaces and crisp edges, culminating in a light, luminous image that will create a new beacon on the bay.
The old Jockey Club, a once-popular nightlife spot in unincorporated Miami-Dade County near North Miami, could get a brand new look after a planned condo and hotel project there received $21 million in financing Wednesday.

Developers want to build 240 luxury condo units, a 90-room boutique hotel, a new deep-water marina and a five-acre “health and wellness” complex at 11111 Biscayne Blvd., Miami. That’s in addition to the 411 condo units already on site. The project is called Apeiron, which means “without limits” or “infinite” in ancient Greek.

During its heyday in the 1970s, the Jockey Club was as hot as South Beach is today with bars, a restaurant and a reputation for the funkiest disco dancing in town. But it gradually fell out of favor and into foreclosure. Several developers have tried and failed to revitalize the property in the years since.
